Dave Gleeson

Dave Gleeson’s musical career has seen him careen across stages from Newcastle, Australia, to Nevada, United States as the vocalist Australian rock band Screaming Jets.
Influenced by classic Australian bands such as AC/DC, The Angels and Rose Tattoo, the Screaming Jets first big break came in 1989 when they won the Triple J Battle of the Bands, catapulting them to national attention. They made their debut album All For One in 1991, with the single “Better” an instant classic, accompanied by success with other singles such as “Stop the World” and “Shine On”, as well as a cover of “Shivers” from their second album, Tear of Thought.
The Jets were based in the United Kingdom for several years, and toured across the UK, Europe and the United States of America. Since then they’ve been a regular on pub rock circuits right around the world, right up to their most recent release, 2008’s DO YA. One of Australia’s hardest touring bands, the Screaming Jets continue to ply their trade both overseas and in Australia.
