Australian Rock is a band with an ever changing line up with a list of the who’s who of Australian rock music industry. Each individual rocker, a world class, successful performer in there own right.

Australian Rock was created by former The Angels member James Morley ,

Australian Rock is about
a) keeping all the great Australian rock songs alive and delivered by the most successful rock musicians, singers and songwriters Australia has to offer.
b) performing these songs as they were meant to be delivered, both to the people that grew up in those era’s and as a re introduction of these timeless Australian anthems, most of which still receive rotation airplay today, to the now generation.

Australian Rock is the real deal with the list of interchangeable flag bearers that can perform an array of hits with four shows on offer to suit your ‘Australian Rock’ package ‘Australian Hard Rock’ package, ‘Bon but not Forgotten’a complete event revolving around Australian legend Bon Scott and his songs with AC/DC and package and a combination of ‘Australian Rock and Bon but not Forgotten’ package.

THE ARTISTS – (FLAG BEARERS)

All artists are subject to availability due to their national and international commitments. The final selection will be between a 5 or 6 piece band per performance. No matter the line-up, Raise The Flag deliver premium grade performance.

James Morley – Guitar/Bass Guitar/Vocals
Founding member of ‘Raise The Flag’ this WA based performer gained a place in Australian
rock history as part of famed ‘The Angels’ and recorded on the bands Beyond Salvation along
with two following albums. Beyond Salvation went on to sell at double platinum status and
became the first number one album for The Angels in Australia. James also took part in an
album tribute, recording tracks alongside Simon Wright (AC/DC, DIO), Sebastian Bach (Skid
Row), Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Lemmy (Motorhead), Whitfield Crane (Ugly kid Joe), Bob Kulik (Meatloaf), Warren DeMartini (Ratt), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple), James has performed corporate shows across Western Australiaand on a national level for the past 15 years.

Dave Gleeson – Vocals
The quintessential rocker this Newcastle born founding member of Australian rockers The Screaming Jets since the late 80’s. Creating hits such as Shiver and Helping Hand, The Screaming Jets have become one of the greatest bands in the land. Dave has recently performed a spate of shows celebrating the life of Bon Scott and joined Rick Brewster’s Angels releasing a new single and touring nationally across Australia under that flag in 2011.

 

Mark Evans – Bass Guitar
Mark Evans is the original bass player from AC/DC. He was part of the line-up that featured legendary vocalist Bon Scott. This period of the band’s history yielded the landmark albums Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, TNT and Let There Be Rock, and spawned their signature tracks ‘Jailbreak’ ‘TNT’ and ‘It’s a Long Way to the Top’ his distinctive bass can be heard on some thirty-million albums across the globe.

Skenie – Vocals
Stewart (Skenie) Anthony hailed from Darwin NT founding Australian outfit The Poor who’s music charted nationally in the early years, toured with the who’s who of Australian and international stars and recently released two new albums. There is no getting away from this man when he hits the stage, it bleeds rock and roll and he has amazing connection to his audience.

 

 

Chris Murphy – Vocals/Guitar
Western Australian, Chris Murphy began his rock career in Murphy’s Law with his two equally talented brothers. Coming to fame in the 2006, a 4th place getter on ‘Australian Idol’ he is best known to the nation for his electrifying performance of ‘Evie (part 1) on that program. ‘Marcia Hines’ noted that it was “One of the most exciting performances we’ve ever seen on that stage.”

 

 

Paul Wheeler – Drums
This seasoned Sydney based drummer was discovered by Iva Davies and subsequently recruited into Ice House. This included recording the albums ‘Measure for Measure’ and ‘Man of Colours the latter of which included two top-ten hits in the USA Billboard Charts and extensive touring of Europe, USA and Australia and New Zealand. Paul is also an integral part of The Choir Boys, tours and is recording with Sneaky Sound System and was recently recruited by Kevin Borich.

 

Paul Woseen – Bass guitar/Vocals
Founding member and bass player of The Screaming Jets, Paul Woseen has travelled the same road as Dave Gleeson on his rock n roll journey along the way forming a fun time duo with James Morley in WA. Today based in Melbourne Paul holds a humorous dark energy that emanates during his performance.

 

 

 

Mick Adkins – Guitar/Vocals
Founding member of ‘Raise The Flag’ and one of Australia’s best kept secrets when it comes to guitar talent. This Tasmanian based performer is guitarist in heavy rock outfit The Rogue Sharks. Whilst working his original band Mick spent a considerable amount of his youth dissecting and learning the guitar parts for songs written by the biggest bands in the country and performing them as they were intended to be played, Mick’s talent is hailed by all that join the ranks of RTF and he is fast earning respect gaining him one of the only permanent positions in the band.

Izzy Osmanovich – Guitar
Hailed by his peers as one of the greatest rock guitarists in Australia Izzy began his professional career in heavy rock outfit Judge Mercy before being recruited into The Screaming Jets in 1992 where he remains as a crucial member today. Izzy also lined up with Kevin Borich’s The Party Boys in 2011

 

 

 

Simon Wright – Drums
This now US based lad from Manchester answered a classified add title ‘Drummer Wanted’ in a weekly music rag in his local town. Two weeks later he was AC/DC’s drummer where he would stay for three of their albums: Fly On The Wall, Who Made Who and Blow Up Your Video and subsequently toured the world.

After leaving AC/DC in 1989, he joined Ronnie James Dio and recorded an effort that
would produce the critically acclaimed album, 1990′s Lock Up The Wolves.

Kevin Borich – Guitar/Vocals
Kevin Borich originally from New Zealand where he started with his band The la De Da’s, KB
moved to Australia forming Kevin Borich Express and later Borich X Borich with his son
Lucius. Kevin Borich was also a founding and life time member of The Party Boys. Twice
performing live with Carlos Santanos, KB is one of the most highly respected artists in
Australia.

 

 

Yak Sherrit – Drums
A career drummer and leading sound engineer Yak has worked professionally on both sides of
the industry at the highest level, Yak currently performs with Jimmy Barnes and is a regular
with Johnny Diesel & the Injectors, Richard Clapton and Diesel. Yak performs corporate shows
with James Morley throughout WA.

 

 

 
Eddie Parise – Bass Guitar
Founding member and bassist in the rhythm section of world famed, 5 times ARIA award
winning Australian band The Baby Animals with over half a million album sales under his belt.

 

 

 

 

 

Frank Celenza – Drums
Founding member and drummer in the rhythm section of world famed, 5 times ARIA award
winning Australian band The Baby Animals with over half a million album sales under his belt.
He has also played with Jimmy Barnes amongst others.
